During the past ten years, the Modesto City Schools have been engaged in a comprehensive effort to create a college-going culture for Modesto students. Thanks to the leadership of Modesto's counselors and adminstrators, and their use of Naviance, Modesto students are reaping rewards. Since 1999, the amount of scholarship and aid dollars for Modesto students have grown 440% to $28 million from just $6.3 million; college acceptance rates have increased 165% across all district high schools; and the number of Cal Grants offered to Modesto seniors has increased a remarkable 437%!
