First Lady Michelle Obama's Reach Higher initiative will help make sure all students understand what they need to complete their education. The goal of the initiative seems familiar: increase post-secondary attainment. However, what’s unique about this initiative is the emphasis being given to the role of the school counselor in helping to reach this nationwide goal. We’re hopeful that initiatives like this could be the first step towards getting school counselors the attention and resources they deserve.
