Naviance has multiple full-time openings for senior-level experienced LAMP web developers to join our product development team in Washington, DC. We are looking for individuals with a proven track record delivering well-designed code for web-based applications in complex domains (especially workflow or CRM type systems). Our product development team is responsible for maintaining and enhancing our core product platform as well as developing new modules from the ground up. We have developed a very rich, multi-faceted PHP application that provides a lot of opportunity to use many different development skills.
Desired background and skills include:
- Professional development on a real-world PHP application of moderate complexity and/or high traffic
- PHP 5
- MySQL 4+
- HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML
- Familiarity with basic Linux/Apache administration
- PHP command line scripting
- PHP OO development techniques
- Zend Platform and/or PHP configuration management
- Knowledge of database design and query optimization techniques
- A plus if you have expertise in: web services, high volume PDF processing, high volume email processing, network administration, database administration, enterprise data munging, AJAX, JAVA, student information systems
