Naviance has a full-time opening for an experienced web designer in our Washington, DC office. We are looking for an individual with a proven track record delivering clean and intelligent design for web-based applications in complex domains (especially workflow or CRM type systems).
Our products work within a complex domain and there is plenty of opportunity to apply Web 2.0 functionality in key areas. We are committed to using agile methodologies and experience with XP or other agile practices is a plus.
Desired background and skills include:
- Demonstrable design experience with a real-world web-based application of moderate to high complexity
- Strong knowledge of CSS, Javascript, HTML
- Experience with AJAX, Flex, or other similar environments
- Willingness to speak up and an ability to effectively articulate your ideas
- A sense of pragmatism and balance in your approach
- Strong theoretical knowledge of usability and information architecture
- An ability to write effective, concise and grammatically correct text within the interface
- Desire to work on a small fast-paced team with an iterative approach
