In her new book, The Overachievers: The Secret Lives of Driven Kids, Alexandra Robbins shadows students at leading high schools outside Washington, DC and Chicago. Like most of America's leading high schools, the schools in Robbins' book use Counselor's Office, part of WorkspaceK12, and their students rely on the Family Connection sites the schools provide. By evaluating their high schools' historical admission data at the colleges they are considering, these students get much more meaningful information about their chances of admission than the national averages reveal.
