If you are located outside of the United States, please be aware that the information you provide to us is transmitted to and processed in the United States. Information We Collect

On certain areas of our Site, we offer features where users may provide us with their personal information in order to subscribe to a newsletter, obtain more information about our products and services, participate in a survey, post comments on a blog post, contact us or otherwise voluntarily submit information to us.  The information requested in order for us to deliver these features includes your first and last name, email address, and in some cases your school name and other information that you may choose to provide.

Additionally, as part of the standard operation of the Site, we may also collect certain “Site Usage Information.”  Site Usage Information is non-personal information from you, including but not limited to your browser type, operating system, IP address and the domain name from which you accessed the Site.  It may also include information about your browsing behavior, such as the date and time you visit the Site, the areas or pages of the Site that you visit, the amount of time you spend viewing the Site, the number of times you return to the Site and other “click-stream” data.  We do not combine this non-personal information with your personal information.

We use this information to: (1) administer the Site, monitor its usage and diagnose problems with it; (2) remember you when you return to the Site, so that you do not have to re-submit information and preferences; and (3) improve our content and services.  In addition, we use software that uses your IP address to determine roughly where you are located so that we can customize the site based on your region.

We use the following tracking technologies to collect the Site Usage Information described above:

Cookies:  A cookie is a small data file that may be sent by a website or application and stored on the hard drive of your computer.  A cookie stores information about your browser that allows us to recognize your browser when you return to our site and to remember your preferences.  You are free to decline cookies, but by doing so, you may not be able to use certain features on the website or take full advantage of all of our offerings.  To learn more about browser cookies, including how to manage or delete them, check the “Help,” “Tools” or similar section of your browser.

Pixel tags:  A pixel tag (also known as a “clear GIF” or “web beacon”) is a tiny image that can be placed on a website page or in an email.  We use pixel tags to help us measure the effectiveness of our e-mail campaigns, by telling us whether the messages have been received, opened or otherwise acted upon.

We use a third party service provider to assist us in collecting and understanding Site Usage Information.  By using our Site, you agree to our use of these tracking technologies.

Third-Party Tracking, Ad Servers and Networks

Third parties, such as ad networks, web analytics companies and social networking platforms, may collect information about your online activities over time and across our Site and other third party sites and online services.  This information is used to provide advertisements for products and services that may interest you.  These advertisements may appear when you browse on other websites, and those companies may use cookies, clear GIF’s and other tracking technologies.
